This table features a lift-top design that opens to reveal a spacious, patterned paper-lined interior, perfect for storing sewing items and accessories. Whilst the paper shows signs of age and use, it adds to its vintage charm.
The table is adorned with four panels featuring elaborate fretwork on each side, and the corners are enhanced with elegant scrolling corbels. The vase-shaped pedestal leads to intricately carved, splayed quadriform legs with scroll-turned feet, all resting on original castors, adding functionality without compromising style. The mahogany and burr walnut display a rich, warm patina, indicative of its age and quality.
Externally, it is in excellent antique condition, this piece shows expected signs of age and use with no key for the lock. It has been thoroughly cleaned and dark waxed to protect and polish the wood.
