Lebus Double Door Wardrobe in Farrow & Ball Eddy

This beautifully restored Lebus double door wardrobe combines practical storage with a soft, understated finish that works effortlessly in both contemporary and traditional interiors.

The exterior has been fully stripped and hand painted in Farrow & Ball’s “Eddy” Modern Eggshell, a gentle cream with subtle green undertones that creates a calm and timeless feel. The door panels have been carefully washed back to reveal the beautiful natural grain beneath, adding warmth and texture while celebrating the original character of the piece.

Decorative detailing to the sides provides a subtle Art Deco influence, while the simple lines and elegant proportions make this a versatile storage solution for bedrooms, dressing rooms or guest spaces. The wardrobe retains its original working lock and key, complete with a decorative tassel.

Inside, the wardrobe offers a practical combination of hanging and shelved storage. The left-hand section features fixed shelves and a useful single drawer, ideal for folded clothing and accessories, while the right-hand section provides hanging space complete with a pull-out valet rail. A mirror fitted to the inside of the right-hand door displays age-related patina, adding to the wardrobe’s vintage charm and authenticity.

There are signs of historic woodworm consistent with the age of the piece. This has been fully treated as a precaution and does not detract from either the beauty or functionality of the wardrobe.

Nationwide delivery is available.

We arrange delivery with one of our trusted furniture couriers - this will generally be a one-man service and help will be needed to unload the item at the buyer’s home.  If a two-man service is required there may be an extra charge. 

We charge a flat rate of £60 for delivery to mainland UK.  For Highlands, Islands and Ireland, please contact us for an accurate quote prior to purchase.

Collection is also welcome near Reading.  For smaller items we send via an insured postal courier.
