Queen Anne Vintage Burr Walnut Long-Legged Bureau in Black

A vintage Queen Anne bureau with elegant carved legs, hand-painted in ‘Caviar’ by Dixie Belle and finished with clear wax for a soft sheen and lasting protection.

The fall front and main drawer have been stripped to reveal the beautiful burr walnut grain, treated with Osmo satin oil to enrich the tone. Inside, the painted leather writing surface, matched edges, and restored compartments create a smart, cohesive finish.

Original handles are highlighted with soft gold wax, and the pull-out supports are newly felted in black. A decorative key with a black beaded tassel is included.

Compact and practical, this bureau makes a stylish writing desk or dressing table, with a drop-front surface, pigeonholes, and a small drawer for organisation.

N.B. There are a few minor imperfections internally due to age which are barely visible and in no way detract from its appeal.  The key is for decoration purposes and does not lock the top section of the bureau, but can act as a pull to open the front.

Nationwide delivery is available.

We arrange delivery with one of our trusted furniture couriers - this will generally be a one-man service and help will be needed to unload the item at the buyer’s home.  If a two-man service is required there may be an extra charge. 

We charge a flat rate of £60 for delivery to mainland UK.  For Highlands, Islands and Ireland, please contact us for an accurate quote prior to purchase.

Collection is also welcome near Reading.  For smaller items we send via an insured postal courier.
